Apple Cake Pops

It’s National Teacher Appreciation week! (May 2nd through May 6th)

Since its teacher week, an apple symbol comes to my head but I didn’t know why? So I decided to research the story behind the association with teachers and apples. During my research, no one knows the exact reason why but there are theories. Cliff Notes list a few of the theories on why the apple is the symbol.

On with the apple symbol, everyone knows the creator of cake pops, Bakerella has an awesome tutorial on how to make apple cake pops! But I love this twist of the apple cake pop from Sweet Cheek Tasty Treats. She has a tutorial of the apple cake pop topper for a pencil.

All the ingredients, tools and steps are the same, except for the lollipop stick. You’ll need pencils and plastic pencil pop tips in place of the lollipop sticks.

Check out the site for the details for the apple pencil cake pop!
